Enabling/Disabling email forwarding in Outlook on the web

 Objective

You can automatically forward your email messages by setting up Inbox rules. Once you no longer want to forward your messages, you can easily disable the forward. You can retain the rule in case you need to use it again.

 Procedure

To enable or disable forwarding the the Outlook on the Web:

  1. Sign in to webmail.ksu.edu.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click the Settings button.

  3. Click View all Outlook settings.

Enabling Forwarding

  1. In the Mail section, click Forwarding.
  2. Select Enable forwarding.
  3. In the Forward my email to: box, type the email address to which you wish to forward.
  4. Click Save.

    Note: Select Keep a copy of forwarded messages to keep copies of your forwarded email in your K-State email.

Disabling Forwarding

  1. Deselect the Enable forwarding and click Save.

Email forwarding is set in Outlook on the web only. Note that the university sends official correspondence to K-State students and faculty via their primary email addresses with the full expectation that communications will be received and read in a timely fashion. If K-State students and faculty forward their mail to another email address, their primary campus email address remains the official destination for official university correspondence.
