Using Find to Locate an Advisee in KSIS

 Objective

The Find function in KSIS enables advisors to quickly locate an advisee in their My Advisees list. This is especially helpful when advisors have many advisees.

 Environment  

  • KSIS

 Procedure

  1. Login to KSIS with your K-State eID and password.
  2. Click KSU Advisor Center.
  3. The All Advisees list is displayed.

  4. Click Find located on the far right of the My Advisees bar.
  5. In the pop-up dialog box, enter a full or partial name of an advisee you wish to find.
  6. Click OK to continue, or Cancel to abort.

  7. Find locates the first advisee matching the search string.  The related row in the table will be a dark grey.
  8. Multiple Finds using the same search string starts the selection from the currently found row and finds the next advisee matching the search string.

Notes:

  • The search is performed against the Name column.
  • The search is case-insensitive.
  • The search starts from the currently selected row in the grid.
