Starting WLAN AutoConfig in Windows

Start the WLAN AutoConfig Service on a Windows computer.

Procedure

Click the instructions below for the version of Windows you have.

Windows 8

Press the Windows button on the keyboard.
Type services.msc.
Click Services Apps.
Double-click WLAN AutoConfig.
In WLAN AutoConfig Properties (Local Computer), change Startup type to Automatic.
Click on Start and click Apply after the service starts.
Click OK.

Windows 10/11

Press the Windows button and R at the same time.
Type services.msc in the open field and then click OK.
Double-click WLAN AutoConfig.
In WLAN AutoConfig Properties (Local Computer), change the Startup type to Automatic.
Click Start and click Apply when the service has started.
Click OK.
