Requesting a JMP license

Details how to obtain a license for JMP.

 Procedure

Requesting a license

  1. Open the Request Software and Application Distribution form.
  2. In the Which software do you need to add/change/remove a license list, select JMP.
  3. In the What do you need to do?​​​​​​​ list, select License a new named individual.
  4. Fill out the rest of the details of the request. 
  5. Click Request.

    Notes: 
    • The Division of Information Technology will send an invoice for payment, prorated by month to the annual license expiration date of Sept. 1.
    • Payment is made to the Division of Information Technology via Interfund Voucher (IFV) or KSU Foundation check for department and faculty/staff licenses. The Division of Information Technology is unable to accept personal payment for these licenses.
    • Students may lease JMP with departmental approval and payment directly through their department business office
    •  Once you have submitted a request form and received a notification that you've been granted access, you can download and install JMP.

Transferring named licenses

  1. Open the Request Software and Application Distribution form.
  2. In the Which software do you need to add/change/remove a license list, select JMP.
  3. In the What do you need to do?​​​​​​​ list, select Transfer an existing user's license user to a new user.
  4. Fill out the rest. of the details of the request. 
  5. Click Request.

Removing named licenses

  1. Open the Request Software and Application Distribution form.
  2. In the Which software do you need to add/change/remove a license list, select JMP.
  3. In the What do you need to do?​​​​​​​ list, select Remove a licensed user.
  4. Fill out the rest. of the details of the request. 
  5. Click Request.

 Notes

K-State renews the JMP site license annually. Each year, the Division of Information Technology will send current licensees an invoice. Upon receipt of the renewal fee, you will be sent a license-extension password.
