Domestic students can enter their ITIN or SSN in KSIS. K-State needs your ITIN or SSN number to report annual qualified educational expenses to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. For more information visit the University Cashier's Office Tax Info web page.

To provide your ITIN or SSN, follow these steps:
- Log into KSIS using your eID and password.
- On the right, click the Navbar.
- Follow the path of Menu > Self-Service> Campus Personal Information.

- Select Enter SSN or ITIN Number at the bottom of the options.
- If your SSN is already in KSIS, the last 4 digits will be displayed. If this is not correct, you will need to update your SSN/ITIN.
Please go to the SSN Request Form for 1098-T located here and follow the instructions for submitting/uploading the form and supporting documentation

- If your ITIN or SSN is not in KSIS, indicate which one you are providing, enter the number in the fields provided, click the "I confirm" statement, and then submit. After your SSN or ITIN number is submitted, the following confirmation statement appears:

- If you are unable to provide your ITIN or SSN at this time, select Provide an ITIN or SSN Later, and the following confirmation statement will appear:

- If you do not have an ITIN or SSN, select I don't have an ITIN or SSN and the following confirmation statement will appear:

If you are an employee, you will need to connect with your HR liaison to ensure that your National ID {SSN/ITIN} is updated within your employment records, as KSIS and HRIS systems have some limited integrations but do not fully transfer National ID {SSN/ITIN} changes between the two systems.
