Interface Changes in Discussions/Announcements Redesign

Canvas will enable a new redesign of discussions and announcements on 7/20/2024. This article outlines the major changes to user interface.

 Details  

  1. The Edit button has been moved under the 3 dots menu.
    Left: current discussion, right: redesigned discussion
  2. The topic toolbar has been moved to the top and now include option for sorting preference and viewing inline/split screen.

  3. A Group button has been added to group discussions to facilitate the navigation to the discussion of each group. Only the count of unread reply will show in the redesign instead of both unread and read.

  4. The marking of reply as read/unread has been moved under the 3 dots menu.
