Objective
This knowledge base walks you through the steps to submit a class section cancellation request.

Procedure
Launch Coursedog. Navigate to the Requests dashboard and select Create Request.
Select Section Change.
Select the appropriate term and then select Edit Section.
Click the Select a course drop down. Type in the desired course to return results. Select the course to add it. Then select the section you are cancelling.
Add a detailed reason for the request. Include any necessary details that should be considered by the Registrar.
- Cancelling due to low/no enrollment.
- Cancelling to change meeting pattern. Students have been notified.
- Cancelling due to schedule changes. Please email student roster so we can notify enrolled students.
NOTE: If there is enrollment in the class and there is no mention of notifying students in the reason field. The Registrar will route the request back to ensure the college notified the students of the cancellation ahead of the change. You can access the class roster in KSIS or request the Registrar email it.
Scroll to the General Information card and set the Section Status to Cancelled Section.
NOTE: When you select cancelled, the schedule print will automatically flip to NO, suppressing it from class search. The meeting pattern and instructor will also automatically be removed. All outstanding rules should also be suppressed and not enforced.
Scroll to the top of the request form and click Submit Request.
Once submitted, the request will route to the Registrar for approval. Once approved, Coursedog will immediately integrate the changes into KSIS for storage.
