Body
Objective
When shared accounts are requested, use the following information to get the account configured as well as set expectations.
- Shared accounts are not automatically enabled in Microsoft 365. They do not automatically populate for each person that is a member of the account.
- To create a shared account, the customer requests the shared account at: https://eid.k-state.edu/directoryRegistration/forms/shared.do.
Note: The person filling out the form is automatically entered as the Owner/Contact for the account.
- Once the request is sent in, Service Desk managers find the request in the KEAS support tool to either approve or deny the request.
- After the account is approved, the owner/manager adds or removes members in their eProfile page at eid.ksu.edu.
- After the shared account has been enabled, it takes approximately 1 hour to sync to Outlook on the web.
Prior to trying to open the shared account, make sure you have been added as a member to the account.
