Objective
A delegate can see your calendar and, depending on the permissions given, can create and respond to meetings on your behalf.

Procedure
A delegate can see your calendar and, depending on the permissions given, can create and respond to meetings on your behalf.
- Open the calendar you want to share.
- On the File tab, click Info, click Account Settings, and then click Delegate Access.

- Click the Add... button.

- Type the name of the person you want to delegate access to and then click Go.
- In the list of names, select a name, click the Add button and then click OK.

Note: Click the Advanced Find link to search by eID (Alias).
- Select the person's name from the list, click the Add button and then click OK.
- On the Calendar menu, select the level of delegation you want to give your delegate:
Editor - Can make changes to your calendar, create meetings on your behalf, and accept and decline meeting requests on your behalf. You can decide whether or not your delegate receives meeting-related email sent to you.
Author - Can create meetings on your calendar, but cannot make any other changes.
Reviewer - Can view your calendar, but cannot make any changes to it.
Note: If Editor is chosen, the Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me option is checked by default.
- Set the permissions you would like to give the delegate for Tasks, Inbox, Contacts, Notes, and Journal (optional).
- Click the Automatically send a message to delegate summarizing these permissions option if desired.
- Click the Delegate can see my private items option if desired.
- Click OK.
