Preparing for a K-State Global Campus Course

When customers have registered for a course through K-State Global Campus, they will need to create an account and perform the readiness test so they can use the K-State Pro instance of Axio.  The letter below is sent to the customer to assist them:

--------------------------

Thank you for your registration for (name of event) Online Continuing Education.  Please follow the instructions below to create your unique User Name and Password to access the online training module(s).  Print and save these instructions for referencing later.

Getting Started

STEP I: CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

  1. Go to http://pro.ksu.edu ; select "click here to get started" under the heading of New to K-State Pro and fill out the form completely.

  2. Type in your email address as your User Name.  Develop a Password, we recommend using the same password you chose when registering for the online training module(s).  Save this information!  It will be your permanent log in each for each training module you register for from this point on.  You will not need to create new log in information for future training modules!

  3. Register your User Name (email address) by going to (unique link here).  When prompted, enter and register your User Name (email address).

While waiting for confirmation of your access to the training module(s), perform the Readiness Test to ensure your computer has the optimum configuration to successfully complete the module(s).

STEP II:  TAKE THE ONLINE READINESS TEST

  1. Go to http://pro.ksu.edu

  2. Access the Readiness Test.

  3. Begin the test to start the configuration of your computer.

  4. The Online Wizard will guide you through the step-by-step process to see if your computer has the optimum configuration required.

Note: If you already have a current version of any of these programs installed on your system, you do not need to install them again.  Optimum configuration is required for all training modules.  You may return to the Readiness Test again and run the checks if necessary.

If the Wizard finds your computer is not configured correctly*

If you do not have the appropriate software or your computer is not configured correctly, you will be presented with a link to download and install the software or a suggestion for re-configuring will be presented.  When you are done installing the software, close the window to return to the Readiness Test.

When you have completed the test, the Online Wizard should inform you that the tests were successful.  Instead of selecting "sign in now" at the bottom of this page, wait for your email notification granting you access to the training module(s) then proceed to http://pro.ksu.edu to log in  and complete your online training module(s).

Thank you again for your registration.  If you do not receive your access notice to the training module(s) within 12 hours, please contact us at registration@ksu.edu or 1- 800-432-8222.

Sincerely,
