Reactivating Duo mobile on a new cell phone

 Objective

This article describes how to reactivate Duo mobile on a new cell phone but retained your phone number.

 Procedure

  1. Sign into your eProfile at https://eid.ksu.edu/ using a computer.
  2. Select Call Me if prompted to authenticate.
  3. Click Duo device settings.

  4. Select Call Me when Duo prompts for authentication,

  5. Click Device Options.

  6. Click Reactivate Duo Mobile.

    Click Reactivate Duo Mobile
     
  7. To verify you are the owner of the displayed number.
     
    1. Click Call me.
    2. Type the 6-digit code provided during the call into the box provided and click Verify.
    3. Click Continue after verification.

      Click Continue
       
  8. Continue through the steps until you see a QR code. Open the Duo app on your phone.
  9. Tap either Get Started or + (depending on the model of your phone).
  10. Scan the QR code with your phone.
  11. Duo mobile should activate on your new phone and allow you to authenticate using push notifications.

 Notes

If your mobile phone number has changed, you will need to bring the phone to the IT Help Desk located on the 2nd floor of Hale Library or call (785) 532-7722 for assistance.
