About
Starting on August 1, 2024, Microsoft will be changing the licensing structure.
Audience
Details
Full-time staff members who require a computer for their job functions, have an email inbox, and access to university resources will be given an Office 365 A5 license and have access to Office 365 Desktop and Web-Based Apps. This includes nine-month employees.
Full-time staff members who are not required to use a computer for their job function will have a license that will have access to the Web-Based Apps but not the Desktop versions.
Students will not be affected by this Microsoft change and will continue to have access to both the Office 365 Desktop A5 and Web-Based Apps during their time as a student.
See https://www.k-state.edu/it/resources/leaving/
for more information about how your access changes as you leave K-State.
