Applying for graduation in KSIS

 Objective

Demonstrate how students can apply for graduation in KSIS.

 Procedure

1. Sign in to KSIS with your eID and password.   It is recommended students use Microsoft Edge as their browser if they experience issues submitting their application.
2. Click Academic Records.
3. Click Application for Graduation.
   
   
    
4. Under My Academic Programs, click the No button to change it to Yes.
   
   
   
   Note: Do this step for each plan you plan to graduate with. Also, do NOT apply if this information is not correct.
    
5. Select a Graduation Term and then click Next.
   
   
   
   
6. Select or enter your diploma name and then click Next.
   
   
   
   Note: This will appear on your diploma and be used for commencement.
    
7. Select or add an address to which to mail your diploma, then click Next.
   
   
   
   Note: Diplomas are mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after conferring degrees.
    
8. Enter any transfer work that has not been received yet as Pending Coursework. Anticipated grade changes or incomplete grade resolution should also be listed as Pending Coursework. 
   
   
9. Select Ceremony Information.
   Click the Accept button on the Bottom Right before Hitting NEXT at the top of the page.

    Note: This is gathered to help plan for Commencement. This is not an RSVP, but please list your current plans to attend a ceremony and, if attending, which semester. Graduate School students are asked to fill in Major Professor and Dissertation, as necessary.
     

Click Submit and then click Yes if you are sure you want to submit.

2. Understanding Your Status

✔️ If your application was submitted successfully

Your status will show:

➡️ “Applied for Graduation”

This confirms your application was received.
No further action is needed unless your college contacts you.

⚠️ If your application was NOT submitted successfully

Your status will show:

➡️ “Eligible for Graduation”

This means KSIS did not receive your application.
You should go back through the application and submit again.

✔️ You're Ready for Conferral/Degree Posting

Your status will show:

➡️ “Approved”

This means your Academic Department and College Dean's Office have finalized their review, and your graduation application has been approved. 
You should monitor your Unofficial Transcript, looking for your degree to be posted.
