  • Require a passcode to enter a meeting.

Require K-State authentication to join

  • When scheduling a meeting, check Require authentication to join and select KSU Zoom Authenticated Users.
  • This setting would require all attendees to be logged into their @k-state.edu Zoom account on their Zoom app and would disallow guests and external Zoom person to join the meeting. If your meeting consist of only K-Staters, you may wish to set up this requirement.

  • In a meeting, click Participants -> More -> uncheck Unmute themselves under Allow participants to: will disallow participants from unmuting themselves. Making the host/co-host the only one who can mute/unmute.

Disallow participants from screen sharing

  • Under Zoom Settings -> Meeting -> In Meeting (Basic), under Screen sharing and Who can share? Select Host Only.
• In a meeting, click the arrow next to Share -> Advanced sharing options... Select Host only under Who can share?

Disallow participants from showing Video

  • In a meeting, click Participants -> More -> uncheck Start Video under Allow participants to: will disallow participants from starting their video (generally their webcam).
